If they mated...

UGH! While I know that the mere thought of these two doing the nasty (and I do mean NASTY) is enough to turn most stomachs, the thought of these two actually producing offspring is enough to send a shiver down the spine of even the most stalwart of us! For those who are not familiar with the concept, late night talk show host Conan O'Brien has a bit that he does from time to time called "If they mated". What they do is take to famous people and combine their pictures resulting in a ,usually funny, hypothetical offspring.

For an example of this click here.

So now that brings me to my own version. Let's start with the couple... you may recognize these two...

Yes, none other than Sean Hannity and (M)Anne Coulter. The two lead demons in the Army of Satan that has begun to destroy this country. Anyway, what would happen if these two mated? lets see... What would their child be like?

Oh that has to sting! At least a little. Oh well, truth hurts. But then again, that is only if they had a boy... What would their child be like if they had a girl? Well, lets run it through again and see what comes out...

Now that may be a bit obscure for some so click here for the story behind that.

Anyway, that's it for today. Just had to get some thoughts out there.

Here come the Olympics!

I am going to make and admission here. A fact that few besides my wife know. When it comes to the Olympics, I become a big ol' blubbering baby! That's right, I admit it. I cry. There, I said it, it's out there now, never to be retracted. It doesn't matter whether it's the Winter or Summer games, though I do prefer the Winter Games. It's not even a particular sport that gets me so emotional. Sure, each Olympics has it's tear inducing moments, a hockey team beating all odds to win the gold, a marathon runner refusing to quit, a coach carrying his injured gymnast to the medal stand, but for me nothing gets the water works going quite like the Opening Ceremonies. To be more specific, it is the spirit of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies that does it to me. This is something that was passed to me by my mother. The wonder of the ceremonies is that for a fleeting moment, nations can come together, not in hatred and war, but rather in a spirit of friendly competition. For one small space in time, the fighting stops. In today's world we should consider ourselves lucky to have even a moment of peace. Will armies around world lay down their arms? Most likely not. I am nothing if not a realist, but I can still hold the dream that one day, for at least a brief moment, the world will be at peace.

It is this dream, this hope for the future that is the Olympic Spirit for me, and that is why I cry.

A man of many hats...(and one too few.)

So...Now G.W. wants us to believe that it is his job to protect the American people. That he is the "Protector in Chief" so to speak. Granted, to some extent he could be blamed if something happened again, but in actuality it is the job of the FBI and law enforcement to keep us safe. Tools that he has grossly misused I might add. When every President is sworn in they take the following oath of office:
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Hmmm, I see "protect and defend the Constitution" (something he has failed to do), but nothing about protecting me. My question is who is protecting us from him?

He also wants us to believe that he is the "Educator in Chief". Seriously, that is what he said. Anyway, one look at his home state of Texas and we can see how bad an idea that is. Struggling with the policies that G.W. left behind when he moved to Washington D.C., Texas now ranks 50th in the nation in education! 50th! Is that the model we want for the rest of the country? Then again, maybe that is exactly what they want, the less educated and less informed the electorate, the more susceptible they would be to the lies and propaganda of the right. An informed electorate is the nightmare of the right wing.

The one hat too few? That would be the beloved cone shaped "dunce" cap. The one hat that he is truly qualified to wear as the "Idiot in Chief". Just my $.02.
